SEGi University made a strong statement in innovation and academic excellence at the Engineering, Science, and Technology Exhibition 2025 Series 1 (ESTE’25 S1), held at MAHSA University on 5 February 2025. Among participants from top institutions such as Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi MARA, and UCSI University, SEGi stood out with award-winning projects that reflected both creativity and a real-world understanding of digital advancement.
Two final-year IT students from the Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment, and Information Technology showcased cutting-edge solutions that pushed the boundaries of AI and cybersecurity. Yong Wai Meng captured the Gold Award with Blink Wallet, an AI-powered face recognition digital payment solution, integrating multi-layered security through biometrics and intelligent verification. As digital payment fraud continues to rise globally — with projected losses exceeding USD 362 billion by 2028 — such innovations represent timely and much-needed technological interventions.
