Think You Know How to Write a Resume? Think Again

SEGi recently conducted a dynamic Resume Workshop aimed at boosting students’ career readiness and professional confidence. Organised by the IT Club on 16 April 2025, the session provided participants with practical strategies to craft impactful, job-winning resumes. The workshop addressed key resume structures, formatting techniques, and tailoring content to match specific job roles—skills increasingly critical in today’s competitive employment landscape.

Globally, youth unemployment remains a pressing concern, with the International Labour Organization reporting that young people are three times more likely to be unemployed than adults. In Malaysia, employability has been an ongoing focus, with TalentCorp and the Ministry of Higher Education highlighting graduate skill gaps as a key challenge in securing employment. This initiative is part of SEGi College Kuala Lumpur’s continuous commitment to bridging those gaps by equipping students with the tools to present themselves effectively in the job market.
