SEGi’s DECE Initiative: Elevating Early Education Standards

In a significant stride towards enhancing early childhood education, SEGi College Kuala Lumpur continues demonstrating its commitment to excellence through practical training initiatives. The Faculty of Education, Languages, Psychology, and Music’s Diploma in Early Childhood Education (DECE) recently orchestrated a hands-on training session on behavioural assessment. Held at Tadika Mukmin Junior LP8, Selangor, on 28 February 2024, this event brought together aspiring educators and preschoolers for a transformative learning experience.

The DECE students, led by Saripah Binti Selamat and six dedicated students, delved into observing and assessing preschoolers’ behaviour patterns using advanced methodologies. Utilising techniques such as Anecdotal Record, Checklist, and Time Sampling, students gained invaluable insights into children’s development and learning styles. This practical approach underscores SEGi’s dedication to providing holistic education and preparing students for real-world challenges in early childhood education.
