SEGi University, Malaysia, in collaboration with KPR College of Arts, Science & Research, India, convened the International Conference on Generative Artificial Intelligence in the Analytical Era on 23 August 2024 in Coimbatore, India. This pivotal conference brought together leading academics, researchers, and students to explore the evolving relationship between AI, ethics, and law, reinforcing the importance of responsible governance in the digital age.

The conference commenced with a keynote address by Dr. Stephen Sesaiah, Dean of FOBAL at SEGi University, titled Generative AI – Legal Insights and Global Impact. His thought-provoking session highlighted the urgent need for AI governance, with the AI industry projected to reach USD 1.8 trillion by 2030. As AI-driven systems become integral to decision-making across industries, addressing legal and ethical implications remains critical to ensuring accountability and fairness.
