Course Overview
The Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) at SEGi University offers a 3-year programme with specialisations designed to prepare students for diverse career opportunities in the ever-evolving field of IT. Students can choose to specialise in one of four areas:
Artificial Intelligence: Gain a deep understanding of AI, covering machine learning, natural language processing, robotics, and decision-making systems, along with practical applications and
mathematical foundations.
Digital Transformation: Learn to integrate digital technology into businesses for enhanced efficiency, productivity, and innovation, focusing on electronic design automation (EDA) and semiconductor manufacturing.
Cybersecurity: Develop robust technical and problem-solving skills to safeguard systems, networks, and data from cyber threats, with opportunities for professional certifications.
Data Science: Delve into the multidisciplinary field of data science, extracting insights through statistical and computational methods, including data collection, analysis, modeling, and communication, with broad industry applications.

Entry requirements
Pass in Matriculation or Foundation studies or STPM with minimum CGPA of 2.0 and minimum Grade C in any 2 subjects AND
a) O-Level / SPM – Add Maths subject OR
b) O-Level / SPM – Maths + Science / ICT / Engineering subject *
Pass in STPM-Science with minimum Grade C in Mathematics and Science / ICT subject
Pass in Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology or other relevant field with minimum of CGPA 2.50 from higher education institute recognised by the Malaysian Government
Pass in Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology or other relevant field with minimum of CGPA 2.00 from higher education institute recognised by the Malaysian Government AND pass SEGi internal evaluation process
* students may need to take a bridging course (i.e., additional 3 credits of Mathematics for Computing) during 1st semester of Degree study
For international student:
IELTS with minimum of score 5.0 or equivalent.
