SEGi University partnered with IKEA for an exclusive Explore Home Furnishing & Life at Home session on 27 February 2025, turning the IKEA Damansara Showroom Entrance into an inspiring space for creativity and innovation. From 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM, students from the Bachelor of Interior Architecture (BIA) programme embarked on an immersive learning experience, gaining first-hand insights into sustainable design, functional aesthetics, and the art of creating purposeful, stylish living spaces.
IKEA, known globally for its commitment to sustainable living, shared expert knowledge on innovative interior solutions that balance functionality and beauty. With the global interior design market expected to reach USD 255.4 billion by 2027 , exposure to industry best practices is crucial for future designers. Students explored eco-conscious furnishing concepts, aligning with the growing demand for sustainable interiors, which account for nearly 20% of all home design projects worldwide.
