SEGi Alumni, Lee Yau, a graduand of Bachelors of Early Years Education (2018) and diploma Early Childhood Education (2015), currently teaching in Lodge school, recently led a sharing session on early childhood classroom management. The session, held at the college’s theatrette, aimed to provide insights and practical strategies for managing preschoolers in a supportive learning environment.
The chairperson, Josephine Lim, opened the session with a warm welcome and introduced the guest speaker, Lee Yau. She began the session by emphasising the importance of early childhood classroom management, explaining how it improves children’s learning and development.
Lee Yau shared her experiences and insights on various topics related to classroom management, such as setting up the physical environment, establishing routines, developing positive relationships, dealing with challenging behaviour, and working with parents, during the sharing session.
