SEGi University continues to champion healthy ageing and community well-being with the second phase of its Community-Based Exercise initiative, held on 15 March 2025 at U3A Selangor. Following the success of its first session on 12 October 2024, this initiative extended its reach to a new group of seniors, reinforcing SEGi’s commitment to promoting active and fulfilling lifestyles for older adults.
The programme focused on Core Strength Exercises tailored to the physical capabilities of senior participants, incorporating gentle stretching, balance training, and functional movements. With studies showing that falls account for over 30% of injuries among adults over 65, these exercises play a vital role in reducing fall risks, improving mobility, and enhancing overall physical health. By engaging directly with the community, SEGi continues to drive health-focused initiatives that make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
