A delegation from SEGi University recently visited Harbin Sport University in China, engaging in in-depth discussions on sports education, academic collaboration, and student exchange programs. This visit marks another step forward in strengthening higher education cooperation between Malaysia and China.
During the meeting, SEGi and Harbin Sport University reached several key agreements, including providing academic pathways for students and faculty, launching a student exchange program centered on sports development and cultural exchange, and exploring potential joint academic programs.

Tony Leong Kuok How, Principal of SEGi College Kuala Lumpur, reaffirmed SEGi’s commitment to internationalised education. He emphasised that this collaboration aims to provide students with greater academic and practical exposure, further enhancing sports education while deepening cultural ties between Malaysia and China.
Professor Jiang Yuhong, President of Harbin Sport University, highlighted the institution’s strengths in sports education and expressed hopes of leveraging both parties’ resources to cultivate globally competent sports professionals. Vice President Cao Lianzhong echoed this sentiment, emphasising the exchange program’s role in fostering cross-cultural learning and career development opportunities for students.

This visit not only solidified SEGi’s partnership with Harbin Sport University but also laid a strong foundation for future academic exchanges and talent development in the field of sports. Both institutions look forward to leveraging shared resources and fostering cross-cultural collaboration to create more global learning opportunities for students while advancing Malaysia-China sports education and cultural exchange.
