SEGi recently hosted an engaging and informative talk aimed at enhancing the knowledge of students enrolled in the Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health programme. The session, held on 26 April 2024, featured a distinguished guest from the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Sarawak, Factory and Machinery Inspector, Noor’Izzati Khairusalleh. Her extensive experience in the field provided students with valuable insights into the practical aspects of workplace safety.
The two-hour session, conducted at the Theatrette Hall, focused on critical topics such as hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control (HIRARC). Noor’Izzati effectively conveyed these essential concepts using real-life examples, demonstrating how these principles are applied in real-world scenarios. Her approach not only clarified the importance of safety measures but also emphasised how proactive risk management can prevent workplace accidents and create safer working environments.
