The International Teaching Collaboration That’s Shaping Future Engineers

Global collaboration in education is shaping the future of engineering, and SEGi University continues to lead the way. From 7 to 16 December 2024, two distinguished lecturers from the Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with Honours programme conducted a transformative teaching exchange at Pingdingshan Industrial College of Technology, Henan, China. This initiative exemplifies the university’s commitment to advancing knowledge beyond borders, fostering a culture of academic excellence and international engagement.

The programme provided an enriching learning experience for 100 Year 1 and Year 2 students, blending cutting-edge theoretical knowledge with hands-on applications. With global industries evolving rapidly, engineering education must align with industry needs. Studies indicate that 75% of employers prioritise graduates with international exposure and cross-cultural competencies (source: World Economic Forum). By bringing its industry-focused curriculum to China, SEGi ensures that students gain real-world insights essential for career success.
