SEGi marked a meaningful step towards health and community responsibility with its Blood Donation Drive 2025, held on 20 March at the Student Lounge, Level 1. The initiative drew 30 participants, each contributing not just blood, but hope and life to those in need. Organised under the Student Affairs department, this event highlighted the power of youth in responding to real-world healthcare challenges with compassion and urgency.
Blood donation remains one of the simplest yet most impactful acts a person can make. According to the World Health Organization, a single blood donation can save up to three lives. However, in many parts of the world, including Malaysia, consistent shortages continue to threaten emergency responses and routine medical procedures. Engaging students in this life-saving mission ensures that awareness spreads, habits change, and communities are better supported in times of crisis.
