SEGi welcomed Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) for an Entrepreneurship Talk, providing students with crucial insights into business registration and compliance in Malaysia. Held on 19 February 2025, this interactive session aimed to bridge the knowledge gap between aspiring entrepreneurs and the regulatory framework, ensuring students are well-prepared to navigate the business landscape.
Entrepreneurship plays a pivotal role in economic growth, with 97.4% of businesses in Malaysia classified as SMEs. However, many budding entrepreneurs overlook the importance of proper business registration, which is essential for legal protection, credibility, and financial opportunities. The talk addressed this issue by guiding students on business structures, legal requirements, and best practices for setting up and sustaining a business in Malaysia.
