On 3 June 2025, the SEGi Pharmacy Students Association (SPSA) and Faculty of Pharmacy hosted a meaningful Blood Donation Drive at SCCL 2, SEGi University, Kota Damansara. Held in conjunction with World Blood Donor Day (14 June), the event was driven by a simple but powerful mission: to raise awareness of the life-saving impact of voluntary blood donation and to cultivate a culture of regular giving among students and staff.
Blood donation is one of the most direct ways to save lives. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a single unit of donated blood can save up to three lives, and countries require a regular supply of healthy donors to meet daily transfusion needs. In Malaysia, more than 2,000 blood donations are needed every day to support hospitals and emergency cases nationwide. The drive helped contribute to this national effort, with active participation from SEGi’s campus community.
