On 4 July 2025, SEGi University proudly marked a key milestone in student industry engagement as Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering student, Mak Khai Hou, successfully completed the first half of his internship at Daikin Electronic Devices Malaysia. The internship is part of SEGi’s broader effort to bridge academic knowledge with industry realities, ensuring future engineers graduate with both theoretical grounding and real-world skills.
A mid-internship visit saw a collaborative meeting between Mak, his academic supervisor Ir. Dr. Shamini Janasekaran, and his industry supervisor Noraini Mohamed. This session offered more than just a progress update—it served as a platform for reflective learning, open dialogue, and aligning academic objectives with current industry demands. Mak shared key learnings from his first six weeks, highlighting his hands-on exposure to engineering projects and the application of classroom theories in real-time operations.
