WHY STUDENTS ARE SAYING ENOUGH TO TOBACCO CULTURE

In a bold move to tackle one of the world’s most preventable causes of death, SEGi University’s Faculty of Pharmacy and the SEGi Pharmacy Students’ Association (SPSA) launched the Public Health Campaign (PHC) 2025 with the theme “Feel Better, Live Better, Breathe Better: Go Tobacco-Free.” Held on 28 May 2025 at the Multipurpose Hall, the event marked a powerful convergence of education, advocacy, and community health leadership.

Organised with the support of the Malaysian Pharmacy Students’ Association (MyPSA) and the Ministry of Health Malaysia, the campaign was designed to raise awareness about the devastating health impacts of tobacco use. Beyond education, it aimed to empower individuals to make informed, smoke-free lifestyle choices and reinforce the pharmacist’s expanding role in public health and smoking cessation services.
