Young Tech Talent Rising Fast

SEGi made an impressive mark at the recent Jabil Bootcamp held on June 17–18, where its team emerged among the select few chosen from numerous public and private higher education submissions. Students Joan Lim Pei Ying, Lee Zhong Yang, Koay Ching Lin, and Teoh Zhin Ying advanced to the main challenges, representing SEGi with distinction.

This national bootcamp, supported by TalentCorp, aimed to identify and nurture Malaysia’s next generation of tech talent. Participants engaged in industry sharing sessions, interactive games, and rigorous pitching exercises testing creativity, adaptability, and digital readiness. According to Malaysia’s Digital Economy Blueprint, the country aims to have 500,000 highly skilled digital talent by 2025, making such initiatives crucial in bridging the gap between education and industry.
