2019/2020 Students’ Representative Council Swearing-In Ceremony and 2018 Student Awards

Congratulations to the new line-up of Students’ Representative Council (SRC) SEGi University for the 2019/2020 session! The 2019/2020 Students’ Representative Council Swearing-In Ceremony and 2018 Student Awards was held at SEGi University on 29th March 2019.

The event started with the swearing-in ceremony of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) members for the 2019/2020 session. The recognition awards ceremony for 2018/2019 SRC members ensued after Professor Dr Azrin Ariffin’s opening address (Student Affairs).

The introduction of the new SRC 2019/2020 members was then made, followed by the signing of the handover document between the SRC 2018/2019 President and the new SRC 2019/2020 President, witnessed by Professor Dr Azrin. Next, the SRC Oath-Taking Ceremony was led by the newly-elected SRC president, Jazlin Zakri.

The oath-taking ceremony was later followed by dinner and students’ performances by Mohd Redzwan Awang Asah (BDS Year 4) and another student from the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment.

After the dinner, the event continued with the Students’ Awards to recognise students’ achievements and activities organized by clubs and societies in SEGi University in 2018. Lydia Ngor Zhuang Yi (BDS Year 2) won the Most Inspiring Sportswoman Award for 2018.

The Run Aid 2018 organized by the SEGi Dental Society was nominated for three awards:

●          Best Initiated Fundraising Campaign 2018

●          Best Sports and Recreational Event 2018

●          The best event of the year 2018

Out of the three nominations, the Run Aid 2018 won the Best Sports and Recreational Event for 2018.
