Driving Research Excellence Through Scholarly Empowerment

An engaging Workshop on Research and Publication was held on 10 October 2025, featuring Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ratneswary Rasiah, Associate Professor of Economics at the Graduate School of Business, SEGi University. The workshop was specially conducted for lecturers from the Faculty of Business, Accountancy and Law (FOBAL) at SEGi University & College, Kota Damansara, as part of the faculty’s continuous efforts to strengthen research capacity and academic excellence.

The session, organised by Dr. Sudhashini Nair, Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Senior Lecturer and Leader of the Centre for Accounting & Finance, delved into key aspects of academic publishing. Participants gained valuable insights into identifying suitable journals, upholding publication ethics, structuring high-impact research papers, and utilising digital tools to streamline literature reviews and data analysis.

Beyond technical knowledge, the workshop emphasised the importance of research integrity, collaboration, and continuous professional growth. Such initiatives empower academic staff to enhance the visibility and impact of their scholarly work, contribute to interdisciplinary knowledge creation, and align faculty research with both institutional goals and global academic priorities.

The session concluded with an engaging exchange of ideas, fostering collaboration, dialogue, and peer learning among participants. The workshop was well-received and is expected to contribute significantly to elevating the faculty’s research productivity and scholarly achievements.
