SEGi’s Diploma in Law students recently had a unique opportunity to network with esteemed legal professionals during the welcoming reception held in conjunction with the Borneo ADR Week 2024 law conference on 18th July 2024. This event, hosted at the Sheraton Hotel in Kuching, exemplifies SEGi’s commitment to providing students with valuable industry exposure, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
The event was a significant gathering of legal minds, including moderators, speakers, lawyers, court judges, arbitrators, and mediators from various jurisdictions. The reception provided an excellent platform for students to engage directly with professionals from different law-related departments. This experience offered the students insights into the practical aspects of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), which plays a crucial role in providing avenues for resolving disputes outside of court proceedings.
