SEGi is once again bridging the gap between industry and academia through an exciting collaboration with PC Image and Sony. This initiative brings participants into the dynamic world of videography, providing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The event started with insightful sessions led by industry experts Shawn Chai and Theophilus, who covered the fundamental principles of videography, offering participants a solid foundation to build.
Following the theoretical sessions, participants engaged in hands-on practical activities, handling professional videography equipment under expert guidance. This approach allowed them to apply newly acquired concepts, providing invaluable real-world experience. Students from the Diploma in Mass Communication and the Diploma in Creative Multimedia programs were actively involved, enhancing their skills in line with their curriculum, which includes videography, photography, and photojournalism as part of the creative module.
This event is organised in support of the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG):
- SDG 4 (Quality Education)
- SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth)
- SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure)
