SEGi College Sarawak enhances OSH students’ skills with real-world assessment

Students pursuing a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (DIOSH) at SEGi College Sarawak conducted a practical Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) assessment on campus. The exercise’s goal was to provide students with the skills needed to identify potential hazards, assess the level of risk associated with them, and suggest acceptable control measures.

Each year, approximately 2.78 million workers die as a result of occupational accidents or diseases, according to the International Labour Organization (ILO). These figures emphasise the importance of HIRARC protocols and well-trained occupational safety and health professionals in preventing workplace accidents and illnesses.
