SEGi College Subang Jaya Leads the Way in Preparing Future Mental Health Professionals

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected mental health, with many people feeling anxious and depressed. This has led to an increase in demand for mental health specialists. A recent report by the Mental Health Foundation found that 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year.

To help meet this demand, Psychology Club at SEGi College Subang Jaya in Malaysia organised a career talk for students studying “Orientation in Psychology.” The talk aimed to give students information about the job nature and career prospects of a psychology officer.

The talk featured a psychology officer from Universiti Malaya, Pn Nismawati, who shared her personal journey and the specific pathway she took to create her career. The talk was informative and fun, and students had plenty of opportunities to ask questions and clarify their confusion about psychology and the career of psychology officers.
