The School of Communication & Creative Design (SOCCD) at SEGi College Sarawak recently showcased its commitment to sustainability at the 1st International Conference of Art & Creative Technology (IC-ACT) held in Malaysia. Organised by Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI), the conference brought together a diverse group of academics, artists, and industry professionals to explore the intersection of creativity, technology, and sustainability.
A team of four SOCCD lecturers, representing both the Creative Design and Communication programmes, presented their research paper titled “The Perception of Implementing Sustainability in Communication and Creative Design Coursework on Undergraduate Students.” The paper, authored by Raden Ajeng Kartini Nazam Binti Nazam, Dr. Catherina Anak Ugap, Fathin Nur ‘Izzah Binti Mohd Taslim, Noor Izzati Nadia Binti Mohd Zainal, and Sharifah Dayana Binti Wan Abu Bakar, examined the positive impact of integrating sustainability principles into creative curricula.
