Programme Overview
The Bachelor in Nursing is a four-year programme offered at SEGi College Kuala Lumpur in collaboration with the School of Health Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. The Bachelor in Nursing is accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency and the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia and recognised by the Nursing Board Malaysia and the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
The programme provides theoretical and clinical education to produce nurses of calibre, who are innovative and proactive, with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The curriculum covers Biological Sciences, Behavioural Sciences, Nursing Sciences, Clinical Skills, Computer Skills, Research and Scientific Writing Skills, Communication and Information Distribution Skills, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills, Co-Curricular Activities, Social Skills, and Teaching and Patient Management Skills.
These components are incorporated into the nursing curriculum to strengthen the knowledge of nursing practice. Additionally, it elevates the nursing profession to a level comparable with other healthcare professions. Scientific knowledge and evidence-based practice taught in this programme are aimed to produce competent, independent, and safe practitioners.
   
																								
					 Entry requirements 
							
			
			
		
						
				For Malaysian Candidates
Either one (1) of the following below:
 Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or *equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.5;
 Pass ‘A’ Level minimum Grade C in three (3) other subjects;
 Pass Matriculation/Foundation with a minimum CGPA 2.5;
 Pass any Diploma (Equivalent MQF Level 4) with minimum CGPA 2.5 (No Credit Transfer)
 Pass Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institute by MNB with a minimum two (2) years of clinical working experience. (Credit Transfer allowed) , AND
 All candidate who possesses STPM, ‘A’ Level, matriculation/Foundation, and pass any Diploma (except Diploma in Nursing) MUST possess:
– Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent with Mandatory credit in Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics (Elementary or Additional or Modern), and either one (1) of the credits in Science/ Biology/ Chemistry/ Physics/ Applied Science, AND
 MUET with a minimum of Band 3/ IELTS/TOEFL with a minimum score of 515/215/80 / Credit in English SPM
For International Candidates
Either one (1) of the below:
 Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or *equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.5;
 Pass ‘A’ Level minimum Grade C in three (3) other subjects;
 Pass Foundation with minimum CGPA 2.5;
 Pass any Diploma (Equivalent MQF Level 4) with minimum CGPA 2.5 (No Credit Transfer)
 Pass Diploma in and registered with the Nursing Council of the country of origin.
 Minimum two (2) years clinical working experience. (Credit Transfer allowed) , AND
 All candidate who possesses STPM, ‘A’ Level, Foundation, and pass any Diploma (except Diploma in Nursing) MUST possess Either one (1) of the credits in General Science/ Biology/ Chemistry/ Physics/ Applied Science at SPM or its equivalent. AND
 Credit in Mathematics (Elementary or Additional or Modern) at SPM or its equivalent. AND
 IELTS/TOEFL with a minimum score of 515/215/80.
 Cambridge English Advanced (CAE).
 Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) Pearson Test of English (PTE).
 (*EQUIVALENT – refers to the overseas academic qualifications obtained that are equivalent to STPM as approved by MQA)
